Essential Question

1. Why do we assume that elderly need help?
For quite some time, the society has assumed that elderly are "weak", "frail" and need our help to help them move about and so on. But, with the proper equipment, products and architecture, they could pretty much do everything by themselves.

2. What do the elderly need?
Identifying what kind of equipment and support the elderly needs is a core question in order to do this thing i call "help the elderly to help themselves."

3. Does the society care?
If no one really gives a damn to the elderly, then i guess there is nothing they can do to help them.

Original EQS:

does the society care about the welfare of the elderly

Why does everyone think elderly are weak

What are the needs of the elderly

What are the common problems elderly face

What does the public think towards elderly
